Dr. Tahir obtained a BSc degree in Microbiology from Bayero University Kano Nigeria in 2006. He obtained an MSc and PhD from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Nigeria where his research focus was on virology. He has a vast knowledge on HIV virology and its dynamics in terms of geography and phylogenesis.

Dr. Tahir has published papers in peer-reviewed journals and attended conferences where his research findings were viewed and cited in the scientific arenas.
